Why Red Bull Denied Lewis Hamilton an F1 Seat in 2024

Speculation is growing that Lewis Hamilton may leave Mercedes, who have had a rough start to the season, in search of another team. Red Bull, who are currently dominating races, is attractive to all drivers but both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez are already signed up with them till 2024. Christian Horner underlines how great Lewis has been in F1 when asked about him on Sky News Business.

The people in charge of the drivers at Mercedes are happy with the drivers that they currently have and plan to keep them for not just this season, but for next season as well. Because of this, it would be difficult to make room for Lewis Hamilton on their team. However, Toto Wolff from Mercedes still believes that he will stay with the team even though things are complicated right now.

The Austrian said on Sunday that “we all fight for something, and we never give up”. Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes F1 racing driver, agrees with this idea and explains why the team will continue to be strong. Everybody in the team is determined and that’s why they won’t quit.

After competing in Jeddah, Hamilton said he wasn’t feeling too happy at the time, but made it clear that he was still invested with his team. When asked if he was thinking of going somewhere else, Hamilton answered by saying that he loves his team and is thankful for all they have done together.

McLaren is making changes beyond just the problems with their 2023 F1 car. I’m not thinking of quitting, and won’t give up on trying to make progress. I’m staying with McLaren and not going anywhere else; even though I’m used to this kind of situation as it’s happened many times before. At the moment, all I can do is stay patient and work with the team until we get better results.
