Eight-time world champion, Marquez, recently withdrew from the German Grand Prix after enduring five accidents during a round now regarded as the lowest point in the Honda/Marquez relationship.
Despite having one more year left in his contract with Honda, the incidents in Germany have ignited discussions regarding the possibility of Marquez opting out of his agreement.
During a Thursday interview with motogp.com at the Dutch Grand Prix, Marquez asserted: “I’m here because my dedication to Honda is absolute. I am eager to work with them towards improving our future projects.
“I’m here to collaborate with them. As I perceive it, working with them for the future implies working on next year’s project.
“We won’t see much change this year, so the dedication is at its peak.”

Marquez explained his withdrawal from the Sachsenring race, stating he was “not prepared”.
Though admitting he has “a threshold” for how prepared he feels for the Dutch GP, Marquez emphasized his participation was “critical” for Honda as Alex Rins and Joan Mir are both sidelined due to injuries.
“I have a limit, but I feel ready,” he said. “I thought I would be prepared to race, especially in Germany after the warm-up crash, as initially I felt prepared to go.
“But over time, the pain intensified, especially in my ankle and fractured thumb.
“I also felt peculiar as there was a crack in my second rib. This will likely be the source of most discomfort this weekend.
“Nevertheless, we will aim to make a gradual start and see how things progress. It was also crucial for me to be here, since Honda’s two main riders, Mir and Rins, are injured.
“We wish them a speedy recovery. Hence, Honda needs its bikes on the track to enhance future prospects.”
